Privacy Policy
v0.1 — prototypeLast updated 12 July 2026
1. What this covers
branded.video is a client portal that connects a production team with the clients reviewing and approving their video work. This policy describes what information the portal collects when you use it, why it collects it, and how it’s handled. It applies to both the internal staff surface and the client review surface.
2. Information we collect
We collect three kinds of information:
- Account information — your name, email address, and the organization you’re associated with, provided when your account is set up.
- Content you upload or write — video files and versions, comments, timestamped notes, draw-on-frame annotations, and file attachments you or your team add to a project.
- Usage information — which pages you visit, what actions you take (approving a cut, requesting changes, replying to a comment), and when, so the activity feed and notifications can reflect what’s actually happened.
3. How we use it
Information is used to operate the portal: showing you the right projects and videos, routing comments and approvals to the right people, sending notifications when something needs your attention, and keeping an accurate activity history on each project. We don’t use your information for advertising, and we don’t sell it to anyone.
4. Storage and security
Account sessions are managed with a signed cookie scoped to the portal. Uploaded files and database records are stored on infrastructure operated for this project — currently a self-hosted PostgreSQL database and file storage, not a third-party analytics or ad platform. This build is a working prototype: it demonstrates the intended product and its data practices, but has not yet been through a full production security hardening pass.
5. Retention and your choices
Project and account data is kept for as long as your organization’s engagement with the studio is active. Because this is a prototype environment, staff can reset the entire demo world back to its seed state at any time — doing so clears every account’s accumulated activity. If you’d like a copy of your data or want it removed outside of that reset, contact the studio directly using the details on your project.
6. Contact
Questions about this policy or how your information is handled can be sent to the studio contact listed in your project, or to Sea Island Creative directly.
